For his 2007 self-titled debut, Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson had some help and support in his corner from some indie rock heavyweights, in members of Grizzly Bear and TV On the Radio's Kyp Malone. The Brooklyn singer/songwriter signed onto a new label this past Summer and is now readying his sophomore effort, Summer of Fear which comes out October 20th via Saddle Creek(Land of Talk, Rural Alberta Adv.). Here's some of his thoughts on the new work .... "Listening to it now, it's like someone banging on a door really hard, until they start throwing their shoulder into it....then someone on the other side simply opens it and on the next lunge the solicitor goes hurtling across the threshold. It's well-produced, but there's a lot of frustration and rage on the record. Every song has a point of catharsis."
Miles' new disc was produced by TVOR's Kyp Malone, and the first few dates of a US tour have been announced below.
