It's hard to believe, but after nearly 30 years together as a band and 15 albums later, the legendary Sonic Youth are ready with yet another LP, their newest release titled, The Eternal on Matador records. With the new album comes a new tour as well, as the group have added a round of Summer dates in the U.S. in addition to their already booked festival appearances across Europe.
The new disc comes out on June 9th, and was produced by John Agnello (Hold Steady, Dinosaur Jr.) and is the follow up to 2006’s ‘Rather Ripped.’ The first new track made available off the disc, "Sacred Trickster" is available on the Matador site which you can download free here.
