Iron & Wine: double dose of rarities

To hold over fans while working on his new album, Sam Beam's, Iron & Wine is set to release a two-disc album of rarities, Around The Well this June 1st. The collection will be split into two discs, featuring rare tracks, cover songs, and previously unreleased material ranging from 2002 all the way up until the sessions for 2007's The Shepherd’s Dog. The album gets it's name from the line in the song "The Trapeze Singer", which was written for the film 'Good Company.' Three other songs written for the film appear on the rarities disc, "Homeward, These Shoes"
, "Belated Promise Ring", and "God Made The Automobile."
Also appearing on the disc are the popular covers of The Flaming Lips "Waiting For A Superman" and New Order's "Love Vigilantes."
