One of this year's best and most solid debut albums came from Philadelphia band, The War On Drugs. Their debut effort Wagonwheel Blues, (for our review click here)was releases this past Spring on Secretly Canadian, and has gone largely overlooked and under appreciated. The bands use of classic rock elements gets a fresh spin with their psychedelic guitar driven attack, that mixes everything from My Bloody Valentine to Bob Dylan. The group who built up a considerable following on the east coast based on their frantic live sets, have just announced a handful of new dates to close out the year. Things get started on Dec. 9th in Michigan and round out with a hometown show in Philadelphia on the 18th.
