Elvis Perkins latest self titled LP, is one of the hidden jems of 2009. If your not familiar with it yet, it's worth checking out, as Perkins folk based numbers feature some clever and odd arrangements and whimsical lyrics, that can take you on a journey to another place. One of the highlights of the new disc is the track, "Chains, Chains, Chains" which he just came out with a new video for. The video was directed by Sean Pecknold, (brother of Robin from Fleet Foxes) who also directed the Foxes track 'White Winter Hymnal."
