2008 was a breakthrough year for New Zealand singer/songwriter Liam Finn, who happens to be the son of Crowded House's Neil Finn. Finn dropped his eclectic debut, I'll Be Lightning, which saw him taking on most of the instruments and recording himself. For the new 5 song EP, Champagne In Seashells, due out on September 1 via Yep Roc, Finn enlists the help of tour mate and friend, Eliza-Jane Barnes, who if you saw Finn play live, she played with him on most of the dates. Finn, who also toured alongside the likes of Eddie Vedder, and the Black Keys last year, should be announcing more dates soon, as well as news on a new full-length that is scheduled for release sometime next year.
