It's been almost two years since we've heard from Canada's indie rock elder statesmen The Dears. The group who are known for their magnetic live performances and lush orchestrations are due to release their fourth full-length, Missiles on October 21st. Their latest effort & follow up to 06's Gang Of Losers is said to be a stripped down affair with simple arrangements. Frontman Murray Lightburn had originally set about writing tracks for what was supposed to be a solo album, but four songs into the process he discovered that he was indeed making was a new Dears record. Prior to the albums release, the band will begin a short tour which will make stops in Canada, the UK and the US thru November.
