Brooklyn's Chairlift: ready for primetime

Get ready to hear a lot more of Brooklyn's Chairlift. If you haven't heard of the indie electronica outfit yet, chances are you will soon, as the bands song "Bruises" has just been chosen for the new Apple iPod "nano-chromatic" ad.
Drummer Patrick Wimberley said this on the band being chosen ..."I hope people are going to be smart enough to listen to our record and won't just know us as 'the iPod band'. It's something we're aware of, but we're hoping we can break through, and use it as something to help jumpstart our career. We're honoured and privileged that Apple chose us."

The band has a new album that it will be releasing later in October titled Does You Inspire You, and the band will be hitting the road with fellow Brooklynite's Yeasayer in October.
