It's shaping up like 2009 could be a banner year for the female Americana folk singer. From artists like BTB favorite Jessica Lea Mayfield, who continue to get a building and deserving amount of buzz off her '08 release With Blasphemy So Heartfelt, to Samantha Crain who is about to release her debut full length, and now for Nevada singer Alela Diane, who just released her new disc, To Be Still . Diane's new disc displays a more mature and orchestrated work, but still heavily rooted in Americana, which has gotten her some rave reviews that have even drawn comparisons to a young Emmylou Harris.
