One of our favorite bands and albums from this past year was The Secret Life of Sofia, and their 'Seven Summits' LP. The album featured strong songwriting and great full compositions that managed to blend both factual and fictional tales of mountaineering expeditions about the seven summits (the seven highest summits of the seven continents). If you haven't heard the disc you should really check it out, but in the meantime you can get your hands on a FREE 3 song EP that the band just offered up via their website, Empty Sleeves.
