Just yesterday, Black Keys singer Dan Aurbach dropped his first solo effort, Keep it Hid on Nonesuch Records. With the Black Keys and now with his solo work it's always been clear that the blues played a heavy influence on his work. You can catch on record and in this recent video one of the main sources of that inspiration, his uncle, James Quine (who Dan credits for teaching him how to sing and play guitar). Auerbach & Quine sit down to play a track off the disc, “Trouble Weighs a Ton,” in Dan’s Akron, OH studio, which happens to also be where he produced Jessica Lea Mayfield’s record and also for the band Hacienda, who will be Dan’s backing band on his upcoming tour.
