This Upstate NY duo has been appearing on a few 'bands to watch' lists for 2010 so I thought I would give them a listen. Phantogram, who hail from Saratoga Springs, created some good buzz in '09 with their 5 song self titled EP, and plans are for their debut album, Eyelid Movies , to come out this February 9. The duo is Josh Carter (guitar) and Sarah Barthel (keyboard) who were childhood friends but didn't start collaborating musically until 2007. Led by their dreamy synths and heavy beats the band has gotten to share the stage with bands like Ra Ra Riot, Yeasayer, and The Noisettes.
