Canadian singer/songwriter Basia Bulat will release her second full length album, Heart Of My Own this January 26th on Rough Trade Records. The new disc was heavily influenced by Basia's time on the road traveling between cities, from the Canadian prairies, to the heartland of the U.S. Basia say's one of the strongest experiences that made the album was her brief stint staying in the Yukon in Dawson City, where for the first time she experienced true silence. “I felt my mind was overwhelmed with ideas. It had been a long-time dream of mine to make it to the Yukon, so to finally accomplish that, and for it to be possible because of my music, was also a very overwhelming thing.”
On the new disc the multi-talented Bulat tackles the autoharp, guitar, piano, organ, pianoette, banjo, ukulele, and bass. You can check out the first track leaked off the forthcoming LP below, titled, "Go On."
