Not that long ago I got turned on to the music of Lissie, after hearing that she was signed with the same label that A.A. Bondy resides on, Fat Possum records. Much like Bondy, Lissie has a down home quality and easy delivery to her music that makes it sound familiar and warm. She released her debut EP Why You Runnin'this past November to some critical acclaim, which helped nab her some opening slots on tours with the likes of Ray LaMontagne and the aforementioned A.A. Bondy. Lissie is just kicking off a new run of January tour dates, beginning tonight at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, and concluding January 23rd at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. The dates will see Lissie supporting the Dallas Green project, City and Colour, who also happened to release a great album back in '08 titled, Bring me Your Love. Lissie-"Little Lovin"
