Sarah Jaffe's new LP, The Way Sound Leaves a Room,
hits stores next week, Sept. 27. The album is a CD/DVD collection that is meant to bridge
the gap between her last, Suburban
Nature and
her upcoming 2012 album. The CD features covers & demos including a slowed down, piano-driven
“Clementine” Drake’s “Shut it
Down” and Cold War Kids’ “Louder Than Ever.”
On the DVD you can find a live set from the Wyly
Theatre in Dallas and a documentary directed by Jon Todd Collins, which follows
Jaffe’s songwriting process at home.
