Patrick Watson: new album and tour

After nearly a three year hiatus, Canadian ambient/folk singer Patrick Watson is back on the map. Watsons 2006 sophomore LP, Close to Paradise , featuring the intimate tracks, "The Great Escape" and "The Storm" earned him the prestigous 2007 Polaris music Prize in Canada (think the UK's Mercury Prize).
A hard act to follow, but Watson has just announced plans for his latest effort, titled Wooden Arms, which will be released as follows, Canada April 28th, US May 5th, UK & Europe May 11th. Along with the new album, Watson unveiled a new website, Wooden-Arms.com, where he is streaming one of the new tracks, as well as announcing plans for a new tour which sees him hitting Europe and North America.
