There Will Be Fireworks- "Youngblood"

I was a big fan of this Scottish bands 2009 debut, and now after a four year break the band is back with their second LP titled The Dark, Dark Bright. Falling somewhere between fellow countrymen Frightened Rabbit and The Twilight Sad, the bands music has the ability to be both sad and melancholy and explosive and raw.
The new LP comes out this Nov. 25th and it features the single, "Younblood" which you can watch a new video for below.

There Will Be Fireworks: New EP out now, Full length due in 2012

This young Scottish band had a great debut back in 2009 with their self titled LP, featuring the epic tracks, "Foreign Thoughts" and "We Sleep Through the Bombs." The guys have been back at work in the studio and now were getting to see the result of what they've been up to. The band just dropped a new 4 track EP, Because, Because, and word is they will have a new full length to unveil in the first half of 2012. Check out some of the new material below. "In Excelsis Deo" comes off the EP, and "South Street" is a new one that we might see appear on their forthcoming full length.

'Song of the Week': There Will Be Fireworks-"Foreign Thoughts"

There's been a lot of great young bands hailing from Scotland the past several years, and they have all been getting some well deserved press. But there's been one release that I feel has flown under the radar that needs to be talked about, and that's the new self-titled release from Glasgow's, There Will Be Fireworks. The band which has only been around for a little over a year and a half created a lush 13 song sonic journey that is packed with a depth much wiser than the bands age of 21. All of the instrumentation on the album was recorded live adding to the organic, emotional feel of the disc. One of the highlights for me is this weeks 'Song of the Week', the slow burning, explosive "Foreign Thoughts."

sneak peek at the new: There Will Be Fireworks

I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of the new debut album from the Glasgow band, There Will Be Fireworks recently. It really is an impressive debut, and through the first initial listens you can tell the album is greatly detailed, with well placed noises and instrumentation, as the album flows as a whole like a well told story.
It's one i haven't been able to put down and i just wanted to share a couple of new tracks off the self titled disc.
The album drops this July 1st.
