With a new album on the way in a few short weeks, Born on Flag Day, which drops this June 23rd, Deer Tick have been in full on promotional mode lately. The John McCauley III led group recently stopped by NBC news anchor Brian Williams surprising new endeavor BriTunes to chat about the new disc, and now we see McCauley III dropping in the Fader, where he takes a go at the fitting Americana sounds of one of the genre's elder statesman's John Mellancamp, with a cover of the track, "Authority Song."The band is currently out on tour w/ Jenny Lewis, and later in the month with Dawes thru July.
